Step 1: How do you accurately detect a ping pong ball entering a solo cup filled with water?
All of these options involved using store-bought sensors and would have required each cup to remain stationary. Knowing that our peers would expect removable cups, we set out to transform each solo cup into a removable sensor with the help of some conductive tape, wires, an oscilloscope, a multimeter, a ping pong ball, and some water.
